Our Mission
Orthopedic Rehab Specialists is an independently owned clinic. Our mission is to provide the greater Rockford area with the finest in specialized physical therapy. Each of our therapists is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Being independent allows us to be highly flexible and prepared to provide our customers with the varied services they require. We work hard to provide the best patient care at an optimum cost. We emphasize active treatment that shifts the responsibility of care to the patient early in the rehabilitation process. With regards to Industrial Rehabilitation and the treatment of work-related injuries, we understand communication is our product. We will provide all involved parties with frequent updates and the specific information required to promote effective rehabilitation and a safe return to work. This includes direct communication with the employer to allow them to the opportunity to be involved with returning their injured employee back to meaningful work duties.
What Is Physical Therapy?
In an editorial that appeared in PT Magazine in October 1999, the publisher remarked:
